About Chris

Chris Franzen is a hospitality all-rounder, having worked on several continents in senior leadership positions. He was previously working for several independent hotels and for global hotel operators. Before joining the Burgenstock Hotels AG (Burgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne) as Managing Director, he opened the benchmark setting Waldorf Astoria Lusail Doha. Prior to that, he was Hyatt's Area Vice President for Western India, overlooking the largest portfolio on the subcontinent with several flagship properties in his portfolio and recently   

Before his move to the subcontinent, he was the Area Vice President for the State of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman for Hyatt Hotels and also the General Manager for the Grand Hyatt Doha Hotel & Villas. 

Chris is also the Chief Operating Officer for a global boutique advisory company specialized in luxury hospitality, Aureus Advisors, and consulted on several projects, including the Waldorf Astoria Doha Lusail.
